Harambee Christian Ministries is one of the Washington University chapters of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USAŽ. The primary mission of our ministry is to be a place where you can come as you are and grow to whom God wants you to be. We seek to sustain and expand the Kingdom of God, to share the message of salvation through Jesus Christ with the nonbeliever, and to disciple HCM members in accordance with the Word of God.
HCM is a nondenominational Christian organization that believes Jesus Christ is Lord. Because of His death and resurrection, believers (despite their pasts) have salvation and are heirs to the inheritance of God. Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah, and a member of the Trinity (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit). We, as followers of Christ Jesus, aim to be like Him. We accept people from all walks of life. Our organization is a refuge for the Christian and a hospital for the nonbeliever providing spiritual support for all.
HCM includes small group bible studies, Visions Gospel Choir, Worship on Wednesday (W.O.W.), and activities throughout the semester focused on bringing us closer together and also reaching out to the greater community. We want everyone to feel as though they have a place in the Harambee Family
